glowplugs is it always them to blame

Hi guys
well after sorting my EPB issues it seems the next in line is rearing its head
she has had a splutter on start up for a couple of months as if one or two plugs have failed
yesterday and tnis morning I had to crank to start
she was aslo a bit sluggish for a couple of minutes but it was minus 2
all good when warm goes like it should
so ive read all the horror stories in regard to glow plug removal issues
question is is it always the plugs or other potential fuel related problem .?
dont fancy changing the plugs and shearing any so may jut fit the FBH remote
any comments all
thanks
Phil

Diagnostic tool that gives you live value for injector balance. Here via IID for when I was getting injector errors 18 months ago. Further away from 1,000 (either side) the more worn the injector. Thumbs Up

It is a direct injected diesel, will always start without glow plugs. At very low temperatures with a little help from some ether or brake cleaner. Mr. Green

If you have a electric meter you can of course see if the glow plugs are ok or faulty
This is very easy,

I know Robbie recommends measuring their current, but the above method is easy and gives a good indication of their condition

Best to do glowplug checks on a cold engine to get valid readings
