What do E range LRs start at price wise? I can’t see anyone driving a £2/3k D3 jumping straight into a, say, £70k LR/RR.

Most of people I know who have D3’s worth less than £10k have them for a reason. A new LR “milk float” wouldn’t be much use to them as a replacement.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Who says they'll go with a JLR product? If the allowance is on new BEVs (not PHEVs) then they're the last place you would look.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

As NoDosh says, if it isn't 'type for type' then we would certainly consider replacing the D3 with an EV for local use but would also look for a late D4 as the workhorse for our business.Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

In the vast majority of cases EV’s can’t tow. Even Jaguar’s i-Pace can only tow 750kg, and not very far (c.100 miles - I’ve tested one!). The hybrid things aren’t great either as they’re so thirst when towing (Volvo XC90 16mpg towing a standard twin axle caravan on ideal conditions on test tracks) and/or scream their nuts off - Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
It’s all another ill thought out thing that’s pandering to the whims of a loud minority (who no doubt fly all over the world and are then ferried about in gas guzzling vehicles so that they can bang their drum).

If your car doesn't worth more than £4-5k , it's a good deal.

But as said above, if you have a sub 6k car it's either you don't want a new expensive one or you can't afford it anyway.Series 1 V8

Not always - your sub <£6K car could be a car you’ve bought new 10-15 years ago and your getting ready to buy another new one to see you right for 10-15 years.

If they are offering £6K they can have mine but don’t tie me into buying a new car.
