Thanks Ruben. I was unsure from the beginning and it never left me. I did look at the 130 and D5 but the D4 won through. It's just so complete. Thumbs Up

Iā€™m sure if the wood inlay isnā€™t for you some replacement parts in black could be sourced easily enough these days (though I suspect you have already come to like the wood now heā€™s been named appropriately Thumbs Up)

Iā€™m sure we can squeeze in the dash cam when Iā€™m with you for the CarPlay install. Towing electrics being collected today BTW šŸ‘

Iā€™m going to procrastinate for a bit longer and continue to annoy everyone on here with my thoughts about it.

In the meantime Iā€™ll enjoy the D4 which will be tripping over the 100K miles mark over the weekend.

A local dealer has a sub 50k miles D5 D300 MHEV R-Dynamic HSE in the same Blue as my D4 HSE Lux, and has offered me a great trade in price for the D4.
But despite the D5 growing on me slightly I just couldnā€™t bring myself to spend all that money on a car I canā€™t get any real enthusiasm for.
Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

That was another of my bugbears about the Defender, I never thought it was worth its money, lovely as it was. Confused

Thanks. Having experienced ACC in my Defender, I never want to use it again! It was awful!

Funny you should mention security, I've been thinking the same thing.

As for your itch, if it's like mine, you'll need to scratch it!

Lovely. Good decision. I'm still slightly regretting getting rid of mine.

Just got a quote from Warranty Wise.

10 year old plan with starting mileage of 91000 and max claim of Ā£8000 with Ā£100 contribution.

Seems to cover everything I can think of and includes very good AA Recovery.

3 years = Ā£3168. Seems good so going to go with it.

It'll give some peace of mind. Thumbs Up

Thats a hefty quote from warranty direct, no idea how good they are with claims since they were taken over, to think it was Ā£1500 for 3 years in 2019, renewal after that was Ā£2500 for 1 year. Going by your other thread, could be a good idea.

Having had the peace of mind with a full manufactures warranty on the Defender, i kind of liked the peace of mind.

Anyway, first claim might be going in sooner than I thought!. Rolling Eyes Laughing
