Goodbye (sadly) Defender hello Discovery
Hello to the Disco 4 forum
After 4 generations of Defender 90s over the last 20+ years (Tdi200,Td5,TDCi2.4,TDCi2.2) made the swap to a Discovery 4, main use will be for towing our caravan and looking forward to the comfort and quiet.
Great forum and loads of information, thanks to Bodsy for his great tips and of course the rest of the guys whose feedback swayed me to stick with Land Rover rather than another 4x4 brand.
Just purchased the D4 from Dunecht 4x4, Aberdeenshire, will post more photos later.
Cheers
Old Jock

That's the correct colour for a D4.
Will probably see it around i'm always walking the dogs around Burleigh Castle.

Lovely motor, I was Defender Biased too in the past and if I be honest still have a serious hankering for another however the Disco just makes more sense on every level for me.

I still love the Defenders, nothing will ever replace them, like you somewhere deep down there’s a smouldering flame that just needs to see one with all the toys to fire up, unfortunately I’ve been warned by the boss NO MORE DEFENDERS OR ELSE, so I might get a disco 2 and get it sorted for off roading, ha ha ooops, hope she doesn’t read this

I’m jealous wish I could have kept mine but I just couldn’t drive it any distance without my back and leg seizing up ( age related thing, me not the LR)
