Goodyear MTR / BFG MT on 18in Rims
Hi
Anyone got a recommendation for the above on 18in rims?
Looking round it seems Goodyear are only available in 19in?
Could do with a decent MT on an 18in rim if it's available

Nope they are 17's its really only General AT2's and try AJS (site sponsor)
But they are AT's not MT's

Tyres look good and give the Disco a much more purposeful stance. On-road, they have really surprised me - in fact, they are quieter than the Wranglers at 70+mph. Only downside I've noticed is a slight feeling of controlling a hovercraft at speeds well beyond the legal maximum
Not had a chance to try them in the wet yet as it hasn't rained here for weeks The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

AT2's in the wet are not quite as confidence inspiring as Wrangler / Scorpion but seem to have plenty of grip
Noisy on some roads... but as JMC says, pick up speed and they are very quiet (and very slightly floaty).

HAVE NOT HAD THAT SAID BEFORE, all of our customers to date have said they are "BETTER" in the wet.
Even my wife has noticed how much better the General AT2 is than the standard tyre fitted by the makers, and that's saying something.

I'm talking cold wet roads, -3 to 0 degress. Not quite icy.
Not saying they are bad, but they are not as confidence inspiring. Maybe its the bounce / slightly floaty feeliing they give off at LR recc pressures ??

Cannot believe we underlings get the Continental Cross Contact AT's and you guys with such a higher D3 population don't. Don't understand that at all. Hassle Continental, at least that way you guys would have a choice in 18's. Can they brought in from across the channel and fitted??

As I said, there seems to be plenty of grip, but you get a slightly less confident ride. May try your recommendation of plus 2 psi in each tyre and see if that stops the bouncy / floatyness.
