Goodyear Wranglers - Whats a good price from a Tyre fitter |
|
I currently had to have a whole new load of new foot wear fitted, a long story, but the conti cross contacts had to go after 2 got seriously scrubbed on a longer journey over xmas, the other 2 were just if not barely legal, all after only 39K.
I had Goodyear Wrangler HP all weather M+S 255/55/R18 109V fitted as they were all that was available at a local Tyre company over the xmas/New year holiday period, what would you say would be a fair price for these ?? want to make sure i have not been severely screwed ..
Cheers

BCP, i have the Sport so its load rating is 109, with a minimum of H, but most would go with a V as a base

I have been out of the tyre industry for over 10 years so
im not 100% familiar with tyre laws, but if the law allows
a lower speed rated tyre then your insurance company should also, im
fairly sure its not an issue , but check first Pete

hi zilch, that's what i was quoted initially from blairs, but i always call tempe tyres to get a price ... they quoted $390, so i called blairs back and they did it for that price.
i also had a complete wheel alignment. the D3's can wear the tyres unevenly with their weight .... 2009 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE

G'day Jim, have a think about the General Grabber AT2 next time. They will help you better off road. I used to have the wan lers, on the D3, and went backwards, down hill, faster than I wanted first trip on muddy/clay tracks.
Got photos from Ivery of your trip with Working Dog. Looked good. (The 4WD trip, not the alpacas). Did you think I would leave you crying,
When there's room in my D3 for 7,
Climb in here Joe we'll soon be flying,
I can go just as fast with 7.
