Discuss.
Agree.
But also they are free to chip in if they are reading the forum. If they are a passive sponsor and use the forum just to advertise then they may well not be interested in more discount, just pointing you in the right direction of a local fitter. They are a distributor of the tyres.
Thats what they did for me and I am more than happy to use Ian Jones Tyres in Ludlow. Even if the price will be slightly higher than buying direct. At least I know I am supporting a local business , staff, and where to go if there are problems.
Other sponsors take part on the forum (like Ryan at LLR) and get business both ways.
The choice is theres and ours...
Sorry babbling again

I have had a reply from 4x4 Sales & Technical Manager
This size in the AT2 is due in the beginning of april.
I am very surprised with the quotation, are you sure on the quote. (He is refering to LLR's quote)
We are the company who asked for this tyre to be produced.Unfortunately we can only direct you into your nearest dealer but if you have been quoted that price I would assume that It would be supply only in which case it is a very good price.
However please be careful it may be cheaper to buy from someone and have them fitted by the same person professionally.A lot of tyre shops charge extra to fit someone elses tyre.

I am going to contact my local dealer who has always given me great prices for tyres in the past to see what they will be able to do them at. Whether they will know a price at this time, I am not sure.
I guess the problem though (same as anything new), is retailers know they will be able to sell without offering a discount.

Hi does any one know the tread wear of these Grabber tyres you mention in the group buy - I have the Goodyear MT/R goodyear which has only 320 tread wear.
The reason I ask is that the last set of Grabber's I had on disco 2 were 530 tread wear and they lasted a hell of a time plus the wet weather stopping was fantastic.
Look forward to hearing from you.
PS - is there a 19" version coming out for D3 ?

Very good at up to 130kmh. I've had mine on for 300 miles now (500km) and they have been great. A little noisy for the first 160km but now no worse than a Wrangler HP AW. Still a bit of a thrum on some road surfaces, but nothing that makes you turn the stereo up.
Haven't driven them above 130kmh and unlikely to, but very impressed. Got me and my D3 out of a wet clay track that had just stopped a Defender 110, allowing me to tow the 110 out too. Recommended! I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

BFG's still aren't available in that size Christian, Grabber AT2's seem to be a good tyre though so why not get them instead The End
