I live in this area and local radio are reporting that the closure is due to a multi-vehicle accident, and that due to a large diesel spillage means the road is not expected to fully re-open before 6PM.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

It’s not so bad for us men. We have no shame! Try getting stuck in a coach full of families on the way to a ski resort for 10 hours!
Men just got out and peed against the barriers, the women worked as a team and formed a ring, then took turns’

Has worked for me many times when I had the disco
As I'm 7 foot tall I used to make it look like I was getting something of the rear seats , the gap between top of tyre and wheel arch is perfect -------------------------------------------------

I remember seeing a woman in her 20s squatting down by the roadside, no trees, no car to shield her, she just let rip and waved at me in the “passing” I didn’t know what to do. SWMBO was with me or I could have stopped and lent a hand.

Well it got moving just after I posted, there must have been a mega queue behind me. One battered & rolled Golf and a truck parked a bit further up.
And the emergency wasn’t that bad, I managed to survive from J19 until the last services N of B’ham. Things seem so much better when moving, you don’t want to stop again in case another truck & Golf get UC&P further up.
PS And all this to get all the bits to put Dee back to standard.
