The chaps in Cumbria have a similar approach to naming their ploughs.
However, I notice that nobody has had the balls to name one of the trucks 'Gary Gritter'!

I did see an image of one with said name, but it may have been a good photoshop.
The Kent ones were (AFAIK) named by schoolchildren & there were plans that they could track "their" vehicles on the website but I don't think it actually happened.
