Guy Salmon Stockport today
Watched the dealer handing over a black 06 reg D3 to a couple.
He seemed to be doing a very thorough job, and they already had big cheesy grins. 8)
Hope you find your way onto here.

Saw a similar activity on Friday lunch when I was in there handing over updated V5C docs...
...and anyway, why are you hanging around GS - having just one D3 to look at not enough for you now? Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

If you guys are local to Guy Salmon Stockport, I wonder if you know of or have seen this vehicle they are advertising on the LR used vehicle website.
Reg : SJ54JHE, 2.7TDV6 S, Tundra Green.
I may be interested in it, but it's a long way for me to go and see if it has poor history, or looks like a wrong 'un.
Thanks
Si.

I would seriously doubt GS would have anything even slightly dodgy on their forecourt. I would of course expect all the warranty and usual refinements of a franchised dealer.
I would not spend this much money without seeing the vehicle.

Steve, I was exchanging the wiper that they sold me in error (see my post in technical). I was also booking it in for the park brake to be fixed, and the seat to be looked at, plus the heating update.

Sorry, perhaps I didn't explain very clearly. I was more interested if anybody knew the vehicle, or knew if it was a vehicle that had had lots of warranty issues, or had been a reject return. I know it would have full LR warranty, and would of course view / drive before buying.
Simon.

You could ring them up and ask them straight. They cannot lie to you if you ask a specific question - IS THIS CAR A REJECTED NEW SALE? WHERE DID YOU GET IT FROM? and other questions to that effect. You may also want to ask them who the previous owner was, and you could try to contact them for proof of history etc.
There are plenty of 'as new' cars on the forecourt. I will have a butchers for you on Wednesday. I won't have time to give it the full test drive, but if their are any particular details or questions you would like me ask, then I will do my best for you.

Thanks Gareth, a quick butchers would be appreciated. I don't expect you to go out of your way, though.

I can't really comment on that Kaney, my car came from Farnell in Leeds, I only use GS for service etc.

Had a look at the car this morning. Its a 54 plate S (genuine S) with H&K stereo, Climate, Xenons, did'nt check if it was 5 or 7 seats, 16k miles.
Drivers seat was a bit loose, front tyres lh was nearly bald rh low tread. Full size unused spare (always check this as previous owner may have nicked it and the xenons for his new S!)
Good car, but unfortunately the salesman informed me it was sold Still may be worth talking to them though, as there were others on the lot.
