Halogen to Xenon....does it need a CCF change?

Hi All

Picked up my 2013 D4 XS last week and due to a mix up at the dealers it was advertised with Xenon lights but actually had halogen fitted.

They have been great about it and are sending me a pair of Xenons so I can switch them over but am I correct that it will also just need a change on the CCF to tell the computer that xenons are fitted?

I may have to pop to a local Indy to get that done as haven't invested in a GAP tool yet.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Darren

If the same as D3 it doesn’t need a change, they will just be a little dim for several seconds on start up. I lived with it like that for ages until I got round to getting the CCF updated. Thumbs Up

If it was a mix up at the dealer then shouldnt they do the whole job for you??

Just thinking aloud!
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

Did you manage to get it sorted? I'm in a similar position have got a very good XS from a dealer but of course without Xenon's so want to retrofit them.

Does anybody know of any specialists who are able to do this and modify the required CCF files?

Yes all sorted. I changed them over myself then a local independent 4x4 centre charged me £40 Just to update the CCF file. It's easy to do if you have the kit and only takes a few minutes
