When ever I see two women in a car, I give plenty of room, they cannot seem to talk without looking at each other, even worse when there are three in a car.

We have been having a similar discussion in Australia after this guy had an issue while on the phone - hands free. You need to have the sound on. Language alert and because it is Facebook etc - you may have to hit Not Now and hit the play button a couple of times.

A motoring variant of the “2CK” advertising trope; perhaps with K for Kuga?Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

I agree, phones of any sort are a distraction. The same could be said for people who play their music so loudly that they wouldn’t hear an atomic explosion if it were next to them. Those that insist of eating a three course meal whilst driving or swigging from a can of juice.
That said, there are an increasing amount of basically poor drivers on the road, particularly, but not exclusively, the silver top brigade, for whom time stopped along with their reactions some 20 years ago. They doddle along at 30mph in a 60, stamp on the brakes when they come to a junction, oncoming traffic et al. Wander over both sides of the road. It’s appauling we automatically renew driving licences at 70 without a revalidation test.

There was a sign! Ooops.

No - is says subject to flooding - not that it is flooded - these signs are everywhere and are "routine" - just part of the landscape.

I can read it! It's a warning, and seeing as it was raining, it might actually mean the road is flooded. Just because you have them everywhere, doesn't mean they should be ignored!
In this case, the road liable to flooding was flooded!!Richard

For me personally, yes there is. If I've had a handsfree call then once I'm finished I'm surprised how much of the journey I couldn't recall. I don't Bluetooth my phones any more to the car so the call has to wait
Had same experience, where concentrating on call and muscle memory on drive home kept me on the road. I feel hands free are OK but only brief calls and state driving maybe we should call back later; or PULL OVER and STOP driving.
no phone call is that important you have to risk loo
sing concentration / control while driving.
remember hands free is a tool, not an all answer to a problem.
drive safe Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

The insurance statistics point towards safer older drivers. A 60 mph limit is exactly that not something you have to achieve. There are good and bad in all age ranges and both sexes and whether they drive a 4X4 a BMW, an Audi, a Jag, ride a motorcycle or a pedal cycle or indeed ride a horse. We all have the right to use the public highway and it's down to us as human beings to be considerate and courteous to all other road users.
