Happy, non-Brexit news!
Never mind all this Brexit nonsense.
If you are in Scotland (or even if not) you can relax with no.1 son talking about being a young person remaining in the Highlands, on Radio Scotland and Reporting Scotland.
Didn't think it was on until later, but had folk saying they heard mini-highlands on the wireless on their commute.
So, instead of depressing Brexit stuff, listen to an enthusiastic, happy young person.
Oh, and his chocolates make a great gift for Xmas!

Nice article, its fantastic to see youngsters follow their dreams, whatever they are. There is so much pressure on them to conform to this pigeon hole or that one. Drive, determination and resilience are what really should be recognised. Sometimes this is part of a university education and sometimes it isn't, but without the first three they won't get anywhere.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Well done him.
There is almost an “acceptance” that to get on in life young people will have to move to a big City.
It stil happens of course, but more and more I’m seeing them make a go of it, return to their roots earlier than expected, or being encouraged via grant schemes etc to start up fledgling business closer to home"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I thought he was intending to study in China or the Far East tbh or I might have the wrong son?
I remember you put up this a while back, have their plans changed?
“We looked at the Scottish Universities but will end up with the £9k a year tuition fees for an English Uni as none of the Scottish ones were a patch on the course and facilities of several English Unis that matched what my son wanted to study.
For my middle son, he is studying one course distance-learning with a council paid-for tutor and 2 others in free study time at school, with his cousin doing likewise.
He will also be unlikely to go to a Scottish Uni, so might end up looking at Ivy League with a scholarship.”

Good, so long as he’s happy, it doesn’t matter where he is. A wonderful opportunity to travel.
