| Hard wiring a Blackvue DR 600GW-HD – another daft question. |

The power cable that it came with plugs straight into the cigarette lighter.
I want to hard wire it back to the glove box fuses.
Do I take it that I a) start at the fuse box and work up the “A” pillar and along the roof lining 2) cut the plug off and go along the roof lining and down the “A” pillar to the fuse box 3) is there another Blackvue cable I buy?
Or have I missed the point/plot? Hopefully someone will get the gist 
Can't find anything on Youtube.
To double check, to take the airbag cover off I flick out the small plastic cover half way up and there is a torque bolt underneath.

When I fitted a Blackvue to a D5, I connected straight to an ignition on aux power socket in the upper glove box and ran the cable at the back of the dash and up the A pillar and along into the rubber at the top of the windscreen. Works well and is concealed.
I did not want to hardwire it into the electrics in case I had a drain on the battery and as the car is under warranty, then LR would wash their hands of anything to do with the electrics, but that’s me based on a lousy experience with hard wiring a satnav into a D3 and the local LR dealership presenting me with a bill of £250 saying I’d voided the warranty on the car. Thankfully removing the offending satnav brought it back into warranty and I got a refund of the money after it had been proved the drain wasn’t anything to do with the satnav.

I bought a universal hardwire kit for my dashcam from eBay for a couple of pounds, this came with a piggy back fuse holder that enables you to use one of the existing points in the fusebox. Took the same wiring route that you are suggesting, certainly beats having a wire trailing around the cabin.

Was it a Blackvue?
If so, can you point me in the right direction on "EvilBay" as would have to have the right connection on the camera end

Mine is a Kenwood but the kit came with USB adapters although in my case the connector on the main cable was correct:

Depending on what the connector used by Blackvue is you might need to find a separate adapter but I can't see they will have a bespoke connector so that shouldn't be too difficult.

Yes, that's correct. 
Instead of cutting your camera power cable you could hard wire in to the fuse box a "cigar lighter extension cable" and then plug the Blackview in to that.
