Hawkeye Total --> created errors (and one more question) |
|
Hi together,
I tried to use a Hawkeye Total. Yes, I tried and obviously failed.
I conncted it to my Disco, ignition was on. I went down the menu to "Body" and wanted to have a look at something, read error codes or something like that (I can't exactly remember which point in the menue it was, but I did not want to do this again...).
Then the tool told me something like I could not connect to the car and suddenly ALL error Messages appeared in the car, EVERYTHING! No TRS, reduced power, gearbox issues, air suspension low (even though the car was on normal level) and so on and so on... absolute horror!
I disconnected the tool, turned ignition off, closed the car, waited some minutes and luckily everything disappeared. But what have I done?? Has anyone here done the same error?
My other question is about the real mileage of the car. I read somewhere there is a control module in the car showing the real mileage of the car. Can I (and if yes how can I) access that Information with Hawkeye?
Many many thanks for your help!
Best

ok, I assume I got the errors because I tried to access the body parameters without the BA5080 adapter, could this be the cause?
Does anyone have a clue where to access the real mileage information??
Many many thanks!

I Don't think there are many people using the Hawkeye, so that's perhaps why no one has answered. Most are using the Gap Diagnostics IID tool now. Stu

It's probably a bad connection in the ODB connector. I get the same on my FL2 with IID tool, unless I pinch it to one side. In D4 it works without problem. I think the bad connection on CAN bus causes all sorts off errors popping up and functions stops working. Defender 110 SE 2021, Tasman Blue
