Headlamp mods in photos : your feedback

Hi gang

I am trying to figure a nice way to give my D3 a rougher look.

Before the Â« look Â», donâ€™t worry, we went the Rear diff lock and modified suspension rods way, plus a few things

, now it is just cosmetics we are talking, for once.

So I took the headlamp apart, took the amber trim off and VoilÃ , an up to date headlight (mimicking the 2010 D4) it just need a chrome/amber bulb + side reflector

Anyway, I do not dislike it but am not crazy about it either

I was originaly thinking of painting the whole unit "Performance Charcoal", the wheels color, thus the mock up without the chrome trim inside the lamp, though that there would still be the chrome bits for the blinkers and lower light.

I dont want to paint id Maya Gold dont worry.

Please gimme your tought about it, I know many WONT LIKE it, no worries, I do love the stock look myself.

Bear in mind that the front grill will certainly be painted in Charcoal too.

The shade darker grill is nice too. Roel

thoughts on headlights

Really liking what you did. Like the amber out of the headlight -- but please -- do tell, how did you do this to your xenons? How did you take them apart?

Also I love the grey grill -- very cool for a trail truck although I like the more dressy paint for onroaders.

Not sure I love the smoked headlights... but just clear they look hot.
