Headlamp washers not working

I noticed yesterday that my headlamp washers had stopped working, is there a common issue I can look for or is it fused separately? Also where is the washer bottle located if I have to get down and dirty Big Cry

Cheers Thumbs Up

Washer bottle is behind front bumper on near side. You can get to the pumps on washer by removing wheel arch liner.

if you turn your lights off and back on again the headlight washer will spray next time you wash the front screen, might be useful way to test

From the maual

HEADLAMP POWER WASH
If the headlamps are on, and there is sufficient
liquid in the washer reservoir, operating the
screen washer will also power-wash the
headlamps.
The headlamp power wash will operate on
every fifth operation of the screen washer,
provided that the headlamps are still switched
on and 10 minutes have elapsed since the last
headlamp wash.
Switching the headlamps off and back on again
will reset the cycle.
If the vehicle is fitted with the Terrain Response
system, the headlamp wash will operate every
third operation of the screen washer in all
Special Programs

Thanks guys, I’ll check the fuses tomorrow and test the system, then if it fails it’s under the wheel arch for me Big Cry

Kind of related question so not going too far off topic but .......

Go through the above procedure and if you notice water dripping from front bumper area it's a disconnected pipe to the headlamp washers.

Had similar issue on a Saab, it can't be that different on a D3/4 (famous last words).

Good luck Thumbs Up

Yes. Your washers (and wipers) must work so that they clean the swept area of the windscreen.

HID and LED headlights need a wash-system to be 'legal', so yes, it must work both sides there too.

Will find one end of the water line and give it a blow through. Not the D4 though, she's behaving perfectly. Thumbs Up

My D3 has never worked properly. It will only operate once, after switching on the headlamps, no ,matter how much delay or often you wash the screen . It passes the Mot and I just flick the lights on & off to reset.
