Headlight not working

So what started out as a sidelight not working has turned into a complete failure of the drivers side headlight (kind of)
Changed the sidelight buld but still not working. I've now also lost dipped beam. Main/high beam still works as I can flash headlights ect and indicators still work so loom/connector plug not completely toast.
Any ideas?
Do the headlights have left/right fuses/relays as it was hard to see.
Tried searching on here already and all the results with headlight in were people wanting to to swap d3 for d4 headlights...

they have electronic fuses which auto reset

I expect you removing the headlight and turning it upside down and damaged the old fillament. (i assume non xenon)

Try replacing the bulb

or a connector problem

Yes they're none xenon.

I did have both headlights out though as I replaced both even though I only needed one.
But only having the issue on that one side.

Plug not seated correclty, corroded pins, damaged wiring ie give it a wiggle with the lights on and see what happens.
