Headlight scratched - how to repair?

Hi,

One of my headlights - Xenon - is scratched; just the plastic. Can this be repaired or replaced without buying a whole new unit?

Cheers,
Stu

how bad?
wet and dry paper, flat rubbing block, T-cut and a buffer will get most out

I've used an acrylic polish for caravan windows. It would probably need wet and dry first if the scratch is deep.

Thanks Guys!

The scratch is bad enough to make an awful 'oval mark' appearance when the light is on hence my wanting to fix it if possible; it's like the light was rubbed by steel wool in the centre. Not too deep though.

if the scratches are quite fine I'd try the acrylic polish first, if that doesn't remove the scratching then go for a fine grade of wet and dry and then acrylic polish again.

I asked a similar question a couple of weeks ago - http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic71960.html

The consensus seemed to be various polishes for light scratches and/or wet & dry or 'specialist' type kits if they're deeper.
