Heated steering wheel

Hi mates,

I'm fitting the heated steering wheel on my MY2011 HSE.

I need you aid on the CCF file....

Any of you who installed the heated steering wheel and has the opportunity to read the CCF file, can control the settings to activate it?

My setting are:

HVAC-Ventilation
Heated steering wheel (1)
Not fitted
Heated steering wheel (2)
Not Fitted

Thank you

Daniele

What options are there?

I'd expect Fitted to be the correct one as on D3

yes, but there are two choices, go put fitted on both?

What are the differences between the choice (1) and (2)?

I didn't have to edit mine after fitting one on my D3. Not sure about the D4 though.

Did you add a power supply to the set up?

Being a HSE I'm guessing not and it was already enabled

I'm not installed the Heated S/W yet, but I checked and the power cable are in situ and connected to the clock spring.

My heated wheel was just 'plug and play'.

Had to fit a heated clock spring as the car didn't come with one (MY2010), heated switch pack with ECU & job done - just got to wait for winter to get the benefit of toastie warm fingers Very Happy

Hence no enable, as you've fed 12v straight to it Rolling Eyes

Ok, I'll try and I'll keep you informed...

Mine had the heated clock spring and the cable connected from the origin (probably due to the "winter pack" w/o Heated S/W [???]...) and it's a MY2011 HSE

or, may be, is the CCF enabling the +12V to the original harness?

Need to "study" the electric diagram....

YES, the module is connected to the +12V (ignition) through the BCM (that drive the relay R211) and the clock spring.

I'm away from my car at the moment, but looking through some history's of ccf changes I've got saved. I can't see heated steering wheel option on the D3 IID ..

The D3 heated wheel installation from the factory is a switched 12V supply to it, not controlled by anything that the CCF could have any effect on. So no CCF edit is required for a D3 installation.

In a D4 the relay which supplies power to the heated wheel module is controlled by the BCM.

The relay "R211" on the left, supplying fuse 20P, has its coil connected to the BCM.
