just to piggyback onto this thread as well.
There is so much info out there (like that monster 45 page thread!) on getting a variety of outcomes with wheel, that's it's quite overwhelming!
I'm quite happy with my D3 wheel - just I'd like it heated!
So I think that means I need to fit a D4 wheel, as a heated D3 wheel doesn't exist?
Don't need cruise control, don't need flappy paddles.
Do want something that looks smart, but doesn't need all the flashy bits!
Is there a 'basic spec' D4 wheel that would do the job? or are all the wheels the same, but the switch packs add the extra options?
Many thanks

There is a D3 heated wheel.
Keep your eye's peeled for one but you will need to change the clockspring too to a heated version. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails

I fitted a RRS heated and flappy paddle steering wheel at the weekend, I used the BBS replacement pcb boards for the switch packs and the ready to use wiring loom from this site for the heated wheel clockspring which are all excellent.
Everything is working, but the heated wheel doesn't get very warm, it is definitely working, but just not very hot, any ideas?
Everything else works a treat

I fitted a heated D3 wheel to mine
So they defiantly exist.
Total cost 424.57 for heated wheel
565.52 with paddle shifts
If anyone wants to do this and needs some help or advice, just ask. David
