But have you tried it on Auto? That’s where the issue seems to be.

My MY16 was useless in auto settings in the colder months, as said before cool air blowing constantly from top vents, had to set to manual all the time to get anything like warm.
MY11 and MY12 absolutely fine and sat on 20 all yr round, used to think it was one of the best heating systems ever experienced.D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

I used to think the same about my old D3, never ever had cause to complain, left it on auto all year round at 22, very disappointed with the 2014 heating system and going back to manual. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I tried mine in manual last night. Result - not a jot of difference! Car initially warms up and then starts blowing cold air from the face level vents and windscreen.
Boy how I wish I’d have kept my old 6-speed MY2010! Everything worked properly, very few trim rattles and saved myself a fortune in cash too.

Last winter I had taken my car back to the Dealers to have all the heater mods undertaken on my D4 MY14.
It made no difference on Auto - still blowing cold after the initial warm up. I would therefore run it on manual and set the heat to only come out at face level and at the feet (and not the screen) but I would still have to turn the temp up to 28 to keep the cabin warm on long journeys.
Earlier this week I drove overnight from Ipswich to my home on the north coast of Scotland (700+ miles) and I was dreading spending 12 hours or so in a cold cabin. However, on departure I woke up to a mistake I had been making on the manual setting all last winter!
Stupidly, I thought that the auto heater speed would modulate the air volume output to reach the desired cabin temp- after all, I was only shutting off a vent! Because of this assumption I never increased the heater speed dial manually. Of course the cabin grew cold so I turned the heat setting to 28 to keep the cabin warm!. Muppet!
So on my mammoth journey home, I set the cabin to 22, turned on the footwell and face vents and modulated the cabin temp by increasing and decreasing the heater speed. The result - a lovely toasty journey home.
Maybe I am the only muppet out there - maybe not!

It’s coz they used the double S word (significant snow) on yesterday’s weather forecast for Wee Eck’s Republic for this w/end.
Adrian, u change/fix/break/fiddle with anything that might have caused this?

Bought a D4 commercial couple of months ago my 2015 I'm also experiencing the common blowing cold air issues but can anyone advise me if the rear vents should work correctly in a commercial type?

I am am not sure my my13 disco had the same heating system for the back. I don't remember the details though. My 2016 Landmark (which has terrible heating) has I think a different system with auto settings etc for the back. Is that what changed maybe for the my16 ? rear heating control ?
My MY16 Landmark cabin temp set at 23deg and is fine whilst driving around villages, When on longer journeys at 60+ mph temp drops by 3/4deg. Maybe a problem with too much cooling on heater and pipes. Can these be insulated maybe??2001 P38A Gone
