Hi Guys

I emailed Pantelis and received an immediate reply, or near to. He can get a price for trhe shocks, but he believes that to have another run made by the manufacturer that there will need to be a group order, of no less than 5 units.

Sounds as though he can contact the manufacturer direct, who is currently focussed on his stable job of manufacturing components for larger contracts. The price he quoted me was a window ranging from 1350-1800 Euros, but he would need to confirm.

He said he would try if there was a group order. I'm keen and if there is anyone else out there please let me know. I would be happy to fill in more details via a PM.

People Hi,

first of all a request for your apologies for the late reply and the delay in providing you all with an update.

It has been quite a bumpy ride here in Greece, as most of you may already know from the news.

Inside all this turmoil I have contacted the person who designed and was manufacturing the "greek made" heavy duty shock absorbers a few times and also spoke with him on the phone.

During all those communications I was unable to retract from him a positive reply on whether he could supply further quantities of those shock absorbers.

And finally, when I have contacted him again over the phone, he told me that he is not interested in producing them anymore mainly because he has calculated that it made no economical/financial sense to continue offering them with the kind of after sales support and product quality specifications that he wanted to offer with his products.

So I believe that it is no longer possible to have the "greek made" shock absorbers.

If something changes and he decides to reintroduce them I will let you know.

It is indeed sad news.

But then again I guess we have to appreciate his integrity and decision not to sell something that would have otherwise been below his standards or that he would have not been able to support in a proper way towards his end buyers and users.
And this is something that we can very seldom see with traders and manufacturers worldwide.
