Just had a simular issue on a D4 turned out to be a cracked inlet manifold, didnt show up on a smoke test but i found it by spaying brake cleaner on to it. On tick over with no boost it got sucked in and made the engine note change.

I can safely say after my mate came and looked at it it is not the problem. And after blocking the airway it would appear there is no leak in the system at all. So why the codes😔😔😔

The codes are present because either you still have a leak or obstruction on the induction side or faulty turbo.

The intercooler can split along its seam, this might only be visible when the system is under pressure. The other possibility is an internally collapsing hose blocking air flow. It might be worth going over everything again, starting with the air filter and working through each component in the system.

Turbo has been replaced and I blocked the airfilter side it sucked all hoses in and no squeels with it trying to get air from any holes then the inevitable shut down of the engine due to oxygen starvation intercooler got pressure tested and held 4 bar of pressure I believe possibly higher

Try unplugging the MAF sensor and see how it runs then!

No about 2 months after this my car randomly caught fire (overloaded heater resister and there was a 30amp fuse not a 20 amp) so she has sat in a field for 3 years
