Help needed , drivers mirror won't adjust inwards!
Okay, as per the title , my drivers door mirror wont adjust inwards, it is not a faulty switch, nor mirror, as both have been changed for known good versions.
From my investigations, the mirror switch changes a 5v signal to a zero,on the black with purple tracer, which it sends to some control module before it SHOULD return a signal to the mirror.
I need to know if anyone knows the whereabouts of the control unit, in case it is something as simple as a multiplug not right home,(unlikely I know) , or if I find the control unit I can start "belling out" the black and purple wire to see if I have a break in a wire, or whether I need a full set of ecu's , a harness and rewire to repair what is a fairly minor problem.
Hope some of the gurus on here can help.
Cheers.

Surely somebody can point me in the direction of the box of tricks which controls the mirror positioning?
I suspect it may be linked to the memory seat control unit, although there must be some input from the gearchange to dip the mirrors in reverse.
Thanks in advance.

Wiggs,
it is the adjustment of the glass inwards I am trying to fix.
Powerfold, heating and all other movements are fine, and having replaced the switch and the mirror , I started checking out the wiring.
I think that the switch turns a ~5v signal to 0v when I ask it to adjust in the D/S glass, but there is no returning signal of any kind to the mirror.
Also when plugged in to LRA computer , the car knows that the switch is trying to adjust the mirror inwards.
Surely a replacement mirror wouldn't need a visit to a dealer to "introduce it " to my car??
The mirror also repeatedly adjusts itself out to make the matter worse. I have tried clearing the seat memory, and the battery has been flat a couple of times, but the mirror always wants to return to JUST the wrong position !
Cheers.

I will have a search for that info now.
