Has anyone got space in Sussex to store a twin axle caravan 7.8m as a friend of mine has a week to move their van off their permanent pitch. It would only be temporary until they can find alternative storage arrangements.
Obviously they will pay the going rate D3 Metropolis Bonatti Grey-Alpaca Leather-adaptive headlights-fridge-EGR blanking kit-Harmen Karden-Cruise-4x4 info enabled-Tinted Windows-Heated F&R Seats-Rosen rear Entertainment-LED'S everywhere -Smoked Side Repeaters-Rear Aircon-Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extreme-Puddle and Footwell Lamps-Stainless Steel Side Protection Tubes- NEW ASHTRAY ( thanks to dsd1036 )

we would normally, but with the building works we don't. You could try Littlehampton Marina which is a lovely site, there is another site on the outskirts of Yapton Burnell Storage or the one opposite Asda by you. Really you want a proper site rather than a yard as twin axle vans do go walk about. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Thanks Paul good advice as ever
I've tried quite a few around here but it seems there is a long waiting list.

Yes its getting on well; the base of the barn is finished but we have a planning issue with the amendment; the National Park say that it is not a minor non material amendment despite advising us it was and they don't want a barn in Sussex to have the traditional Sussex Barn hip roof; they want a full hip Slight hold up on the annex as the steels are 2 weeks late so far but they are finding plenty to get on with. I'll post pictures on my thread later. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Rules and regulations, don't you just love 'em
We've had the drawings done for our annexe conversion but it's proving difficult trying to get a builder to commit and say they can complete it by January.
Another builder coming round tonight D3 Metropolis Bonatti Grey-Alpaca Leather-adaptive headlights-fridge-EGR blanking kit-Harmen Karden-Cruise-4x4 info enabled-Tinted Windows-Heated F&R Seats-Rosen rear Entertainment-LED'S everywhere -Smoked Side Repeaters-Rear Aircon-Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extreme-Puddle and Footwell Lamps-Stainless Steel Side Protection Tubes- NEW ASHTRAY ( thanks to dsd1036 )

I can let you have our guys details; they have been good so far. We also have a great project manager that has been a real boon as we've never done anything like this before DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

I'm a developer with several big projects on. There's lots of work around so good builders / tradesmen are hard to find at the moment. Most good guys don't want to take on small jobs so you might have to wait. However, there also lots of monkeys about back filling the small jobs with limited skills and knowledge so just be careful. Also, be smart about how you pay and what you pay for. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

The reason we need it done as soon as possible is because my mother in law who lives in Portugal has now been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer . She is coming back in January to stay with us so our plan is to have a nice new annexe waiting for her hence the urgency D3 Metropolis Bonatti Grey-Alpaca Leather-adaptive headlights-fridge-EGR blanking kit-Harmen Karden-Cruise-4x4 info enabled-Tinted Windows-Heated F&R Seats-Rosen rear Entertainment-LED'S everywhere -Smoked Side Repeaters-Rear Aircon-Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extreme-Puddle and Footwell Lamps-Stainless Steel Side Protection Tubes- NEW ASHTRAY ( thanks to dsd1036 )

Interesting that Sussex don't want a traditional Sussex barn, I know of a case in Kent for and traditional Kentish Oast house that was refused on the grounds that it was deemed incompatible with the Kent countryside.

I think they make those rules up as they go a long.
I watched one of the George Clarke Restoration Man where a couple were told the extension to their old cottage had to be a clear delineation from the original build. George drew up the plans and everyone was biting their lips when the same bloke at the planning said it had been turned down because it wasn't in keeping with the rest of the house!!!
There was another one where a guy bought a "Scheduled Ancient Monument" which makes "Listed" look like a walk in the park, it was stone castle and they insisted that the internal walls were built with breeze block, made me want to cry.
They don't seem to employ any common sense.Newest parts of my house are 150+ years old. Lime mortar and built without foundations. It hasn't moved and if it did the building would have enough give to cope. I guarantee that if I had an extension they would be instisting on 1m+ foundations and floors with 200mm of insulation etc. There would cracks everywhere with a few years. IID PRO
