Help with upgrade to 2008/2009 software!

Hi

I have just bought some 2008/2009 DVD's for my HSE and am a little confused.

I have taken out the old DVD and replaced it with the UK DVD from the new set but HOW do I make this 'reboot' to use the new software or don't I have to bother?

when you insert the new disk, if it needs to do the update, it will Thumbs Up

Other than that, check a road that you didn't have before & make sure it's now there. (although that's about new map data rather than a system software update) Thumbs Up

I have THREE DVD's

One has GBR on it so I assume this is the one I need to put in.

Did not see ANY screen activity at all.

As I was updating from a 2004/2005 DVD set I was sort of expecting a software update but nothing seemed to happen!

Looks like I MAY have bought the Freelander disks!

Certainly SEEMS to be working, sort of, with regard to maps.

i.e. now shows the A34 Newbury bypass which my old DVD did not BUT no software upgrade!

Can anyone confirm for me?

And does anyone know of any other likely ISSUES I might have if I carried on using these disks?

Robin

regards.

WOW, those Freelander graphics look so much nicer. Wiggs, are those disks compatible with the Disco?

They may look nicer ..but wern't very user friendly when i had a freelander on loan .

I should of copied the 3 disks that were in the car ..but to be honest ..i didnt like the way it operated.

Cant tell you if they will work (graphics side ) ..maybee Robster canconfirm which graphics he has
