Hi again and help!! P020B - TDV6 HSE

Hey all, returning to D3 ownership after a 7 year gap and keep returning to you guys even when I sold the last one. Was previously on here under another username (Buccaneer5) but can’t remember the password or which email I registered with (memory goes as the grey hairs appear 😢)

I wonder if anyone can offer some thoughts on this one.
D3 currently faulting with P020b code. Injector 2 timing.
Changed injector with replacement, no change.
Swapped injector 1 and 2. No change as fault stays with injector 2.
Cleaned MAF, cleaned all injector connectors, removed and checked/cleaned ECM connectors and terminals.
All have made no difference at the moment. Big Cry

Considering EGR removal and cleaning or blanking but not convinced this will fix the issue either.
She is running rough and the fault appears on startup. Won’t rev past 2000rpm as clearly in limp mode.
Code clearing not helped either.

Had a search but can’t find anything similar at the moment.
Garage (not specialist) suggested Crank Sensor, but independent basically rubbished that unless a last resort.
Would get it into the local Indy but they are booked up for a month at the moment.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

James.

If it was a crank sensor, you would not be able to start the car. Now you are looking at the correct number 2 injector?

Hiya, ok so an update on this one.
After checking every bit of documentation and a lot of searching I got fed up and starting pulling injectors one by one!

The faulty injector was actually on cylinders 5 !
Not sure if this is down to the code readers both garages and myself used or another reason but we got there in the end and she is now running again.

It seems however that she now has a judder under acceleration, but only using the auto box and reverse.
If I use the command shift it seems to be a lot smoother.

Any clues on this one?

I don't think injector number and cylinder number are the same, it's caught a few people out!

Yeah, I think I’ve found about 4 different opinions on the cylinder/injector numbers Laughing

Still, at least I know I can’t rely on the code reader if it happens again.
