I was being dim.
I activated the reversing system. Wrong!
Tried again and found the reverse camera in the audio settings. Just got to get the camera working now.
So RR screen mod done with brightness fix - thanks Panoramix - reverse camera wired up and working. Just need to tidy up the wires and reassemble the interior trim. Tomorrows job!
Feeling satisfied that I've done this.

Here are some pics of my weekends work and hopefully they also show how well made Panoramix kit is. You do need good vision to see the tiny connecting pins. I used a magnifying glass to get the correct orientation of the wires for the screen circuit board.
I fitted a reverse camera for hitching up the caravan too.

They certainly are far better than trying to solder wires in and it makes it very easy to reverse the mod if you wish too.
Had mine in about 12 months now

Help with ccf
So have done the mods. Reversing camera in- works when selecting reverse, however it seems to shrink the screen, is there any way of selecting wide screen or any of the screens seen in the diognostics screen? Also is there a way to access the camera on demand directly from the audio/video menu?
Secondly I have a flip down dvd screen in the back, I’ve run a cable from the second screen output into the back of the sat nav. I’d like to get the tv/dvd button on the audio/visual menu for this, can’t seem to work out what ccf I need to change to have this appear?
TIA

Panoramix, could you please PM me details on your screen brightness modification please.
right i've just read this full thread and i'm totally confused with CCF GVIF's etc
I'm looking to setup a rear reversing camera on my 56 reg D3, I have an IID tool but i'm not 100% on how to use it to change settings etc to enable the camera
If i purchase a panoramix kit (if still available) this will change it to RR mode and fix the brightness and be able to switch between RR & LR modes, is this correct?
What else do i need to purchase/do to allow the reversing camera to work? What type of camera etc?
I'm quite happy to carry out the work myself, just new to the disco game and don't have much of a clue at present but trying to learn
Thanks in advance
Martin
