high beam assist

I am trying in different ways to get the AHBA to work.
Cannot get the auto letters show in the instrument.
Have done GAPII and enabled auto assist 1 but there is also an auto assist 2. Which should be enabled.
Have done Europe as country.
In car I cannot change drive left to drive right. How to do that?
There is also something called HBA sensitivity. What should I do with that?

Car is Discovery MY2013.

Hope to get help

Was the car fitted with AHBA (as a factory option). The sensor is behind the driver's rear view mirror (facing out of the windscreen of course).

I had it fitted to my 2013 D4 Commercial (as a £195 option seems to ring a bell), and it's absolutely useless. I tried it when the car was new. You will spend all evening being flashed by oncoming drivers and the rest of the night figuring out why it turns off whenever it feels like it.

In my humble opinion don't waste your time.

Her indoors has a new Tiguan with LED Matrix headlights, now they are amazing. It is like driving along and watching a Star Wars movie Cool

Good luck Thumbs Up

Just to add another perspective I find it rather good for me - daily journey is 10 miles of country B roads and it does a reasonable job - I've learned the corners where it doesn't and just manually flick it off, as though it was on manual.

Was your experience on well lit roads?

if you have the high beam assist you shouldn't need GAP to switch it on, it will be available in the menu settings.
I switched mine off as it didn't always switch off fast enough and sometimes it didn't recognise I was driving into zones with street lighting, it's a good idea although I prefer to activate high beam from the stalk!
Pete.

It is in the instrument menu. It is switched on but does not work.
As I mentioned in the settings there is a coice of left hand or right hand drive. This is not possible to change fro left hand, strange.

Hi there. B -Roads I can probably live with but if you go in and out of built-up areas (villages I'm thinking of) it was just pants. Rolling Eyes I have a 2013 and it has been switched off for 11 years Smile
