Highway low switch missing
Evening all
I am wondering if this switch in pic is something worth having. I am planing to upgrade from a 2012 D4 to a 2016 but any 2016 I have seen don’t have this switch. Could it be just the spec in Ireland? My 2012 has it but to be honest I probably never used it so maybe it’s not that crucial
TIA

I didn’t know the D4 was available without a low box, I use mine regularly. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
The high low switch is for the transfer box. The later spec of vehicles was available a single speed transfer box.
What spec of vehicle were you looking at?1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8
2013 Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - SCRAPPED
2016 Land Rover Discovery 4 Landmark

JLR sold, at least in the US, the SCV6 (so MY14 forward) by default with a spec of not having low gear. Seems they did the same with some model year diesels, too, then.

Because it's a single speed it doesn't have Rock Crawl mode.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

It started out as a low trim (S or similar here) because of the wide sound system panel and the small display in the middle.

The N1 classified vehicles in Ireland (5 seater commercials) did not come with it. I had a 2015 with otherwise good spec but it did not come with it. Traded for an Irish 2014 HSE 7 seater and it is there.

It's actually really hard to find US versions with HD and the rear diff locker after they made the HD pack an option. There are relatively few out there. I do think it's worth having on a 4x4.PAGODA
