Thanks for posting those photos J’
That’s the roof bar obscured and the lights nearly invisible, but there’s a great point to mount some rear facing LED lamps on the inner face of the tailgate (lamps that would otherwise point at the boot floor when the door is shut).2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

It’s interesting that they’re showing the light bar without the roof rails to mount them on. I wonder if Land Rover aren’t above a little PhotoShopping themselves 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

My neighbour is in the police and he told me BMW charge them less a month for their X5's than Vauxhall charge for their Astra's as people think if the police use them then they must be reliable!
Maybe LR are at it too........but surely it'll take more than the police/highways using them to convince people they are reliable

I see that they’ve managed to source a proper flange tow bar to mount a jaw on; I’m still struggling to find one for the FF!
That electric tow bar is a work of genius - build an off road car, with a 3.5 tonne towing limit and then offer it with a tow bar that’s restricted to 1 tonne off road!
With the tailgate open and obscuring the roof lights, half of the tail light’s not fitted and most of what’s left mounted on the tailgate and pointing skywards, I wonder if they’ve added any additional rear lighting to make it safe when they’re working and the tailgate is open?
There were additional ones mounted on the D4 tailgate so would tjink there were on the D5 as wellMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

The fire brigade are looking at new cars and have been offered Jags cheaper than Vauxhalls but will probably not go with the Jags as the public view of the brigade driving round in Jags would not be good.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Just minor niggles but it’s the constant inconvenience of taking it in to the dealers. It’s been in 3 times so far for service warning, A pillar trim adrift, 3rd row exterior window trim adrift (away for a week) now got a rattle coming from the B pillar area, which I think is the plastic trim around the window interior, seems better since I stuck a loan car document in it 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Sorry to hear about your issues which shouldn't really be happening in a car that price hopefully you get it all sorted out soon.

Thanks for the photos
It looks a lot better with the battenburg on it; it breaks up the large areas of bodywork and gives it a purposeful look missing from the standard car.
It’s interesting to see the roof rails that were missing from the Land Rover’s original PhotoShop image and a more dignified tow bar / Dixon-Bate jaw too. I wonder it will be offered for sale alongside the odd ball electrical thing? It’s taken over a month, but I’ve found a proper one for the FF now too!
It does look terribly badly lit from the rear with the tailgate open after all though What is it with getting rid of perfectly good vertically stacked tail lamps, lights that are fully visible with the tailgate either open or closed? Fashion over good design, I guess?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Agree with your comments on the rear lighting.
I have a friend who's a TO so will let you know how it goes once they are in service.

After a 20 minute chat with two Highways Agency staff, about the reliability of their D4’s over 3 years and 250,000 to 320,000 miles and I was convinced enough to buy my first one in 2015 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
