There is quite a bit of mapping involved in geology, so I think it could be of some use there. Anyhow like I said it didnt take much convincing. I would have brought one anyway. Off road footage to follow

I don't want to put a dampener on your son's enthusiasm and skills but make sure he knows the rules and regulations regarding the use of aerial devices particularly if he charges money for any of his services. There is a growing number of people who have fallen fowl of the law through lack of knowledge and it has cost them in the form of criminal prosecution and subsequent fines.
