Bit more work today.
Just need to mount the charger and secure the fuse box and -ve terminal. Will vent it as well when I decide how I want to do that, probably a vent in the side is favourite.
Anyway a few more photos

You will need to secure the batteries and make sure the wooden divider that separates them from the wiring is robust enough to survive an impact.

I knew I'd find a use for these lights. Bought them for something else but they didn't work out.
They are a perfect fit in the side holes.
Will fit 2 in the front and 1 each side. This is just a test fit.
Just not sure to have a switch fitted or have them remotely switched. I've got a couple of remote units so might go down that route
I'm not going to be able to pick it up at this rate

Typical 1 light is a dud
Will just have to make do with 3 for now. Fitted and wired them up tonight via a remote switch. Went for this method so we can turn the lights on when we get back to the tent in the dark.
Not the best photos but you get the idea
Lights not on.
Lights on.
Just need to tidy the inside and sort a vent and it done.
Cheers

If it's heavy Andy, why not stick two castors on it and an extending handle! You could move it around like a carry-on suitcase! D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

I fully admit I don't know the costings but wouldn't lithium ion cells be better in almost every respect than lead acid cells - steps back and puts on tin helmet .

If anyone is going to Donnington at the weekend or Yarwell next month it will be in the boot so you can have a closer look
