Honeymoon over

After 8 days of elation back down to earth.

Yesterday took a drive through to glasgow in torentual rain.Car performed great. Just decided to shake out the rubber floor mats, removed front passenger one only to find pool of water and soaking carpet underneath. Not great in a car thats supposed to drive in up to 700mm of water. Awaiting call back from dealer service dept.
Anyone else had this problem?

It is highly likely that the seal around the sunroof has not been placed correctly. It would be wise (if possible) to put the car into some shelter until your dealer repairs the seal.

Thanks BN.

But I don't understand how,if it is coming from the sunroof there is only water in the flat area of the footwell. there is no sign of water ingress around the sunroof itself. Is there an internal drain that could be blocked?

There is a drain, which I believe goes down the angle between the front doors and window frame, where it also says 'airbag'. However, it may be getting in from anywhere. The floor is a well and it simply settles there. Obviously there could be other reasons, but that is the most common cause in most cars.
