Horrible Grinding

The Disco has developed a terrible grinding sound and feel when I take a hard right turn (like at an intersection). The closest feel I can describe it as, is when you drive on sand and have left the Traction and stability on - you know you get that kind of grinding shudder type feel.
First time it happened I thought it may have been the traction/stability control kicking in, but the next time I was nowhere near the limit of traction, and it's getting worse.

Booked into the dealer but I'd be keen to get any pointers on what it may be so the dealer doesn't give me the old "we couldn't find anything wrong..."

Car is 2.5 years old and only done 37,000 km but I was wondering if it is the front diff/joints?

Could be a flat tyre. Could also be a duff wheel speed sensor, or steering sensor or........... Confused

I would look at the Drive shaft or wheel bearings.

Steering bump stops need greasing possibly, big metal nipple on inside of hub meets wishbone in some circumstances, like in access mode, and causes the same noise as the grinding and clatter.

Mine did something similar when turning. Back plate (or something like that) on the back of the hub had become bent and was scraping on the wheel. Sounded awful. Dealer removed, reshaped and refitted. One of those almost embarrassing faults where had I bothered to look, I'd probably have been able to spot/sort, but I jumped to the expensive conclusions first!

I was thinking wheel bearings. A CV joint would make more of a clicky noise.

OK I've ben to the dealer and the official word is "we couldn't find anything wrong with it...."
The dealer agreed my description sounded like bearings but they checked them out and couldn't find anything wrong with it.
Only other issue was left rear had a puncture and slow leak, but the dealer didn't seem convinced that low pressure in the left rear was enough to set of VSC on a hard right hand turn.

I'm yet to drive on the corner where the situation repeats itself without fail, but since i got it back (puncture repaired) it hasn't done it again.

Would a flat tyre enable enough yaw when cornering to set of VSC? I didn't notice any VSC lights on the dash light up when the problem occurred.
