My 8 month old D3 TDV6 HSE was taken back by the dealer after a huge number of issues and, with a small contribution, they were prepared to replace it with a new vehicle. The service and and integrity of the dealership staff remained questionable.
I picked up the new car on Tuesday and all appeared ok. However, I realised that that front parking sensors don't work properly and that the steering felt strange. After asking a colleague to drive, he confirmed that the wheel is not on straight. There is also black marks on the headlining and plastic connectors floating around under the seats which I have now gathered. As I have mentioned in earlier threads, I am new to Land Rover and I am amazed at how useless everything appears to be. I haven't got time to go into my dealer every week.
What should I do?

Take it to another dealer! I'm sure someone here can recommend one, even if you have to drive a distance! Have a nice day!

Write to the DP and copy all correspondence to LR customer services, give them a reasonable date to clear all outstanding issues, get them to collect & deliver and point out that you see rejection as a last resort, not the first - that way they'll view you as 'resonable' and not a serial complainer

Thanks TFC. Is this the norm or the exception with LR dealers?

Exception i'd say, most dealers i've heard about are pretty responsive and of course you only get to hear of the 'underachievers'
LR are aware of sporadic problems with the dealer network and are keen to hear of the ones that need attention focussed on them....

It shouldn't be Oliver...and it is really frustrating to see peeps being treated in this way.
What options are available to you in respect of alternative dealerships. I know of Gateway in Newport ..they have been very helpful to me in the past when Iv'e been 'home' visiting family. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

It's Gateway (now Stratstone) who are the problem. I have now booked the vehicle in with J.V.Likes near Brecon for next week. Guy on the phone seemed helpful, offered a courtesy car etc.

MMMm... thats interesting...they came across as being very helpful...but then again they were trying to sell me a D3 ...I don't have any aftersales experience of them I'm afraid.
What approach have you taken with them so far...gentle or guns blazing? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
