Looking at trading in Mrs VA's Volvo and I want the D3. What should I be looking to get at the £30,000 mark? Musts include leather seats and 7 seats.Loving the power of the TDV8!

Go for an S with Leather option. Has everything you really need, and should come in at about the right price.

For 2K more you could have a brand new S with leather, auto and metallic. (I just did). Main thing it doesn't have that SE does is Sat Nav. Tomtom or Nuvi for £350, job done.

After having concerns that the S seats wouldn't be comfy enough, I am more than happy with those on mine. I don't miss the electric adjustment, as I never move my seat anyway, and I find armrests a pain - they get in the way of the seatbelt clasps. Also, I sit low enough that the centre cubby is just the right height for an armrest anyway.
Have already done some long (several hours) journeys, and find the S leather seats supremely comfortable - certainly as comfy as those of my friend's RRS HSE to France and back.
Rear PDC is standard on S.
I could have afforded the SE, but specifically chose the S as I don't much like the LR satnav and armrests - the S with leather was perfect for me.
Leather is approx £1500 IIRC, but that's without discount.

Price is OK but personally I wouldn't want an 04 car as the faults mentioned on this site seemed to affect the early ones a lot more. I got a brand new 55 plate base 7 TDV6 on the road for £26500 in December so I am sure with a bit of haggling you could get an 'S' with leather and auto for £30k. Try my contact Aaron at Farnell Landrover Bradford, I am pretty sure you won't get a better deal.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto
