I fixed part of The Disco5 design
At least this part is done, the rear window looks again like a Disco LOL. Just paint the rear pillar panel and lose the Ford Explorer look.

Sorry Dave, painting body colour on the 'C' pillar tends to make the overall design look like a toy car. Try squinting at your sketch; the design that LR stylists arrived at seems to give the vehicle a more pleasing look. That's my view and as your fellow countrymen may say "your mileage may vary."
Even the AUS branch of Ford was thinking the same back in 2002 when Ford Territory below was released.

As an aside and slightly OT: Sharp-eyed viewers may have noticed a split rear tailgate with lift-up rear glass AND lift-up rear tailgate on the Territory. This is a feature that LR could have easily adopted to satisfy the users of the D3/D4 (LR3/lR4) with its tailgate practicality especially with the extensive use of weight-saving aluminium (aluminum).LeighW
The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

There is nothing pleasing about the new Discovery look. I painted the pillar as a joke to the overall lazy design. Just because someone at LR tells you that it's pleasing it does not mean that it is, and they don't have to brain wash you to believe it. It's truly awful, it's like acquired taste, the more you see it the more you believe it's good and you learn to accept it. They took away what we loved about the Disco, fine, we move on

We might be re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic here, but would you mind carrying on and black out the edge of the roof above the rear side windows (as if to pretend that they wanted to spend the budget fitting a glass wrap again!)?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

^^^ A big improvement thats what the car should have been in the first place, i would actually go and place an order for it right now as long as i could change the stupid number plate location. That looks like it should have been a big update change but keeping the distinct lines of the D4.2015 D4 HSE LUX Kaikoura Stone(sold)

Wierdly, that makes the roof step look better too - higher and further forward, although I accept its just an optical illusion...

How about cutting back on the nasty, MPV style, rear lamps and and putting back some, Disco signature, vertically stacked ones? The slightly more curvy version of the roof and C pillar treatment even looks better than the D3-4!2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
