I miss my D3 soooo much..... |
|
......that I want a D4. (HSE in Stornoway is the only way to go )
But where do I go for the best deal??
I am in NE Scotland and choice is VERY limited when it comes to stealers.
I have had an LR 'fleet' for as long as I care to remember, am very loyal to the brand, but fed up with the dealers.
So any suggestions for who to buy from.
Happy to travel, distance no object, especialy driving a D4 back to NE Scotland Bazza M111

I got my D4 XS (also in Stornaway) from the usual suspect in Aberdeen back in September. Have to say the experience was Ok and was fairly well looked after by the sales chappie so can't really complain. Unlike a lot of folks on here I got nothing but a bill from the dealer, the days of freebies and LRE days seem to be gone

In deference to the Site Sponsors, I will PM you the name of the chap that I use for leasing vehicles just in case this is of use...
He has always delivered in terms of price and physical vehicle and I have used him for at least 12 years!
You do tend to get a very different approach from the Business Managers within dealers (as opposed to the retail side) and I happen to know that Paul sources his vehicles through a Surrey based dealer... is that far enough to drive back?
PM to follow!

Put the silver cap mirrors on it along with a side strip with chrome insert and it looks great. Without that it can look bland on a D3 or basic D4. Although the same can be said for a number of colours.

Based in NE Scotland, Aberdeen, I approached local suspects (You will know who they are!) when I wanted a brand new Disco 2 in '99. Again when I wanted a Disco4 (Stornoway Gray HSE!) Got a price from them, but also went to Stratstone in Edinburgh. This was Sept 09 when they were like hens teeth! They sourced the car elsewhere in the UK, got it in double quick time for a price that my Aberdeen Dealer said they "were giving it away" for. (Much the same as they said when I bought the Disco 2 in Edinburgh.)
Still get the car serviced in AB but sales personnel not very chatty

All factory fit but I got to ring 'H' tomorrow sometime so will probably go for the obligatory mudflaps and mats.
I gonna browse the LR site to see what other 'bling' I fancy.
