Guys and gals, I was checking out my front valve block as I have somesuspemsion errors when I noticed this (pics). It looks like a standard all weather junction box and I assume it's not standard. Any clues?

Defo not standard take the top off and look inside then see where the wires go maybe ?D4 GS let the retro fit begin

What this was/is used for, I wouldn’t want to guess. There’s a myriad of devices that folk fit to their vehicles.
All the trackers I’ve ever had, have been fitted in areas less prone to water ingress, particularly on a 4X4.
Garage door sensors, laser detectors and the such are usually mounted in or around the radiator grill.
Have you found any non standard internal switches, or signs of one having been fitted?
If you can trace it back to a fuse, I’d been inclined to disconnect it if it isn’t already.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
