Iid BT AIRBAG LIVE VALUES....SEAT TRACK SENSOR??

Still chasing the airbag light problem

It has been suggested to look at my airbag live values..

I would if I could, but iid BT cannot find any at all?

Not even an option to click on the airbAg/srs ecu

Can this mean it’s fudged? And need replacing
I’ve checked under the seats 1001 times now (previous owner says srs light came on after he messed about under the passenger seat to fix sat nav dvd)

Help Big Cry

My guess is the IIDTool can show the live values for the suspension airbags only, not the SRS ones.

That don't look an easy fix !

1) When you turn the ignition on, check the orange airbag2 light comes on, in the center console by lock switches.

2) The seat wiring is at the front of the seat. THere is a large connector with 1 bolt. Inside this are smaller plugs. 2 of which are airbag. orange and yellow plugs from memory. You may want to inspect.

3) think I would be trying to find a new airbag ecu

Hi there
Yes the orange airbAg light by switches comes on then off

It stays on if I deactivate passenger airbag, (which I know is correct)

I’ve checked all plugs I can see/reach, the one with the nut has been taken off and squirt of wd40 on contacts, I’ve even unclipped the part from the seat frame to check the rear.

A member on here has shown me screen shot of his live values for srs air bags which pointed to his problem (missing airbag curtain)

To me all those moessages relate to the airbag module not having power/earth. As such the CANbus is missing a link, and the rest of the messages relate to that except for the crash message. Not sure about LE, but most other manufacturers will lock/brick the module if there is a impact related trigger.

Have you looked at your battery? Pete K told me once that the stepper actuator messages appear if the battery is weak, can be ignored as the vehicle is just too sensitive.

Battery is brand new

I’m having the centre console out to check wiring as hdc button does not work either
Which is in same area as the airbag ecu (I think )

Thankyou for your input guys Thumbs Up

Just quickly and as mentioned ref the earth wire, check when u remove the centre console to look at the SRS ecu

Also the wires on the passenger side that’s sits under the sill plate

Hope u don’t mind me saying , don’t unplug any SRS wires unless you’ve disconnected the battery first and waited 30 x mins Thumbs Up

When I replaced my airbags etc I then used the iid and it allowed me to reset the SRS ecu to normal state from crash data log
