Hi - I'm about to buy an IID tool - having lasted for a good few years with a Hawkeye which has largely done everything I need (and has got a licence for most LR models over the years), I'm going to go for it, largely on the back of the positive feedback on here.
Just a question about mileage - when I bought my D3 a few years back, it had a mileage anomaly (it 'lost' circa 70K miles between two MOT's). I'm keen for the odometer to be correct which means adding the 70K back on. Having read a couple of older threads, there's one that indicates that the correct mileage can be 'pulled' from the central ECU using an IID tool. Have I interpreted that correctly? Just looking on the GAP website, I couldn't see how/where this command would reside. Will the IID tool enable me to correct the odometer?
Thanks in advance, Chris

You can sync the ipak for mileage but only to add miles, you cant take them off. If you change the ipack for a second hand one, and the second hand ipack has higher mileage it will keep that mileage.
If you fit a new Ipack and sync that it should show the correct miles.

Perfect. That's what I thought I'd gleaned from the previous thread. Sadly it is adding miles, 70K's worth
Thanks for the response
