IID tool & EPB: How to use I/O control?

I have rebuilt my rear shoes and unjammed the module after a blissful year without a parking brake.

My issue now is I can't seem to get the IID tool to do anything via the IO control. I know I could manually wind back the entire rod but it would be nice to use the IID.

The cables of currently detached from shoes.
The system is relatched
Unjam procedure successful moves the rods.

IO control has latching & mounting. Neither are highlighted and pressing them does nothing.

Using the release handbrake cabin control does nothing as the system thinks it's already off. Pulling up will obviously jam it again.

I have cleared faults and rescanned - no faults. Parkbrake is flashing though.

Any help appreciated cheers.

Rebuild the shoes and apply EPB. It will reset itself, then Control functions will operate Thumbs Up

Is there definitely no way to wind it back with the IID tool? Doing quite a bit of minor damage to the brass rod flicking it with a screwdriver. Last time I wound it back I had the unit off the vehicle.

Unjam procedure will also unwind it, but then rewind it too Laughing

I operated this from under the car, watched it unwind with the biggest smile followed almost immediately by severe disappointment as it wound back up again.

Contemplated pulling the battery but just got going with the driver. Park brake now operating perfectly. Fully adjusted. Just need to find the 8 screws I put in a safe place about a month ago.

Cheers for the guide on other thread.
