Immobiliser issues

Good Evening all, I’ve recently dipped my toe into Disco 3’s after having multiple d2’s and defenders ect

As abit of a learning curve for myself I picked up a 2006 d3 with the 2.7 tdv6 fitted. Bought as a non start(not demobilisating) diagnosed as a bricked BCU caused by the sunroof drain filling it with water, I managed to find an ecu set on EBay which consisted of ECU,BCU,Clocks, Barrel and key, all fitted relatively easily, Now starts happy days! However I’m not left with plenty of chassis CAN communication issues not entirely sure if they were pre existing faults or new since the ECU swap

The trouble code that concerns me the most is VIN miss match in the ride hight, transfer case and Clock spring modules. So I guess my question is, Will a vin mismatch cause a controller shutdown and drag the rest of the Bus down? I will try and attach some picture of the scan I have

Hope I’ve covered everything, apologies if not this is my first post here after many hours reading just being nosey honestly

TCCM, RLM, EPB, and BCM are all VIN locked. See if you can obtain the remaining modules from the vendor you bought from already.

Good evening, thank you for your reply, I’ve asked if the vendor has the remaining modules which typically he doesn’t, so does that leave me with a car that is now limited to 30mph or is there software out there that will let me change the VIN?

Also possibly a daft question but what is RLM? Rain light module??

Ride Level Control Module.

IIRC it is locked to the original VIN which can't be changed, but if you use a second hand one it may work OK but will log a VIN miss-match.

Yep, as NJSS said RLM should work but will log a fault code for the wrong VIN which you can live with. A new TCCM would sort that one out so long as you have the diagnostics to code it. You'll have to see what happens with the EPB module.
