Alas don’t know how expensive it becomes accessing the satnav via 4G , never heard of Waze

I use Waze on my phone and it’s good.
Not very data hungry.

Many Thks Pete ,
Got to get up to speed with the new apps etc
Another thing I see is many of these double din radios have sd card slots so wondering if a map sd card can be bought like some of the Tom toms, but it’s knowing if the Tom Tom software will run on the double dins
Indeed would rather take plenty of time to see what all the options are

Yes its completely stand alone, you can also have OS maps on some for off roading.
The alternative is a Android mirroring head unit or Apple equivilent where your phone does all the work but is displayed on the head unit.

The GPS slot can be used for anything, i have IGO Nexgen loaded onto the internal storage and use the SD slot for a 64gig card for the dash cam to write to.
You can just see the GPS antenna in the top left of the dash cubby hole, wifi antenna is stuck to the top.

Many thks, looks a nice set up, also didn’t realise the gps doesn’t have to go to the outside
Has urs got a CD player plse , revisited Tom Tom and see there maps are £40 , which I assume is just download onto an sd card then onto the hard drive of the radio
Also like the idea of the OS maps , plus good idea being able to download the data from the dashcam onto the unit which I assume I can then playback
Saw that ref mirroring, also would like CarPlay which if I’ve read it right is for the steering wheel controls to work
Thks again and plenty of great info and been trying to find out further info as I can via web sites etc

This looks like a proper topic hijack to me... it is not related to the subject asked by topic starter regarding the relation to the logic 7 systemBest regards

This was my solution keeping the head unit and feeding the sound through the aux
Small android tablet and a d4 sat nav surround.
Not the best solution but saved removing the head unit

No CD drive which is what i wanted, dashcam records directly to SD card. Carplay has nothing to do with the wheel controls, its apples auto interface.
Mine has carplay plus android auto, you can use any compatible android app either on the unit or via mirroring.
