Increased black smoke under load.. |
|
I've just had the 150k service done by a good independent who used a flush on the engine/gearbox and injector cleaner.... now the car drives like new with no loss of power but i have started to lay down a significant smoke trail (Black) when accelerating on the motor way, normally in a high gear (Manual) no smoke under normal conditions but if i pull out to overtake then blimey its chucking out some ....
i ran the fuel quite low and have just refilled with fresh diesel, at first it was ok, but once warm started to smoke under acceleration.... to be fair maybe not as bad but still there.....
any ideas ref impending doom...... theories so far include spilt intercooler hose, EGR failure, poor batch of fuel/contaminated fuel....
any views???? i'm lovin it....

Maybe just the post injector flush crap working way out - think split hose would give loss of power and EGR's definate loss of power

Thought I'd solve my black smoke and loss of power under hard acceleration as the P0299 DTC has gone, but it looks like I have a split in the intercooler radiator as there's some oil seepage Luckily enough there was two new one on ebay, but now there's only one left Let's see if throwing another £30 at the problem solves it Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME
