Inflate suspension from another car
Is it possible to inflate the suspension from another vehicle ?
My 4 is looking like crank failure and it’s sat on the bump stops
Can I inflate the suspension using the compressor some piping and a valve to stop the air coming out when I disconnect it from the 4 ?D4 HSE

Sorry to hear your engine might be in trouble. The air suspension does not have a schrader valve or any other type of external connection built in. You might be able to bridge the contacts at the compressor relay to power the compressor directly. Be warned though, get it wrong at and you might add considerably to your troubles! So proceed at your own risk.
Sorry I can't provide anything more helpful, someone else might share an alternative solution.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Does the suspension not work off the battery? I did not think you needed the engine running, just make sure the doors are all closed.

I wouldn't go near the piping. Shouldn't need to have the engine running to get it off the bump stops.
If it doesn't do it by itself you can jumper the relay to run the compressor and then supply 5V to the appropriate valves...but don't think it'll come to that anyway.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

On a D3 you can pump the suspension up from the key fob, can that not be done on a D4?.
It could also be done with a diagnostic toolIID PRO

To raise on D4 with keyfob.
Turn on hazard warning lights and then press and hold headlight and unlock button to raise, and headlight and tailgate button to lower.

Had a rushed go this morning before work. Compressor running ok from the link wire but because I had the battery on the floor through jump leads the bonnet was up. The car didn’t raise . Would this be because the bonnet was up ?D4 HSE

Gave up. Bonnet shut , all doors shut. Compressor compressing ! Still didn’t rise. When you press the button to raise it just beeps. I think there maybe another fault. Buttons on the fob don’t lock the car at the mo. This car has been parked up for a very long time before I’ve bought it.
Thanks for all the ideas though guys.D4 HSE

I need to start by getting the seized engine fixed but I just wanted to raise it up and get the suspension bags filled as I’m away for a bit soon.D4 HSE
