Hi
The infotainment system in my D4 (2013) has started playing up. It will get itself in some sort of disconnect / reset loop. The reversing camera will stop showing if in use, bluetooth disconnects, DAB restarts etc. I've uploaded a video of the problem to youtube
Very similar to what was discussed in this thread but that didn't seem to reach a conclusion. I have no error codes (according to Torque Pro anyway).
I've tried a hard reset which didn't help, and also tried a replacement battery as i though it might be the issue but that didn't help either. I get the feeling it might be temperature related as it does seem worse in cold weather and gets better during a drive as things warm up.
Any hints as to what the problem might be?
thanks, Ross

Thanks Johnny - didn't help me either though
Unit won't let me set it directly to USA for some reason - always jumps back to UK. I can go via Ukraine to USA but the problem remains...

I had an issue which was a bit different to yours but I would start by getting yourself a MOST loop and one by one bypass a module and see if anything changes. I would start at drivers side rear panel in boot as there are three modules in there, then move to under drivers seat for one before you take dash apart to get to screen and head unit.
My problem ended up being the amp.
I had no error codes either. 1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

My initial problem with Infotainment system was intermittent and steadily got worse with loss of screen information. I got error codes suggesting it was the amplifier and related to the MOST optic bus with coms error. Ive done some further interrogation of Most bus using a loopback plugin link but it doesn't change the error codes on IIDTOOL. Can I ask what your amplifier symptoms were, was it completely dead or was it showing signs of life by giving red laser out of most fiber output on power up. My infotainment sometimes comes to life and amplifier sound, Dab and screen works for about 30 sec. Im thinking of just buying 2nd hand working amp just to try.

in my case the amp was still sending red light so no obvious issues when MOST testing. when i looped it out still no change to situation. I would try buying a known good 2nd hand amp and seeing the outcome - you can always re-sell it if that wasn't your issue. 1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

Hi I have very similar issues with my infotainment in a 2013 D4 where bluetooth dropped out, radio is constantly looping and camera isuses.
It's currently in with Venture 4x4 and they've done module and head unit swap outs with no result. Has anyone found a likely cause/remedy?

Apologies, should've returned an updated this thread.
I bought a simple optical loop / bypass cable and did what was suggested here.

Bypassing the module closest to outside of the car fixed the problem and has been rock solid since. Not sure what the module is - guessing TV as that no longer works (along with the rear entertainment)

Really appreciate the reply and will pass on as a message to Venture 4x4 for them to try.
