infotainment touchscreen not working

Had a long-ish run home this afternoon with car working fine. After getting home, I went to pop out to shops and the touchscreen system has stopped working. Specifically, it initially appearred to work (ie. content on the screen) but wouldn't select audio function (ie. move from USD device to radio or cd or digital radio). I then hit the X button to switch off the screen and after that it never came on again.

FYI - I have a 5 month old D4 XS.

I have tried switching the car off, letting it 'sleep' and restarting but it still isn;t working.

I assume there is a reset I can do - but have no idea how to do it. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Same thing happened to mine two days ago. Stopping the car, then locking and unlocking fixed it.

Had the same fault last week, tried allsorts to get it back on. Had to reset my ccf files with the Faultmate to get it working again.

Will be going into the dealer should it happen again.

Tried car again this morning.

It was giving a low battery warning although it started without drama so I'm thinking it is an erroneous warning. Infotainment still not working.

Is it worth doing hard reset? If so is it the same as for a d3?

Otherwise it looks like a trip to the dealer

Thanks

I think the battery warning and the screen are probably connected. I have had my infotainment refuse to switch on when the car thinks the battery is low. This is an ongoing problem with my car. Usually a a bit of a run brings the battery up to where the car thinks it should be and all functions are restored.

There is new software available for the infotainment system.

How new? I had the MY2010 updates done a couple of months ago - would it have been updated then?

No, it's only a recent release.

I agree with the battery warning light being connected to the issue, this was something mentioned by my dealer, see similar thread here: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic52524.html?highlight=

Car is fixed.

You were right - this was a software issue and the 'crash' of teh Satnav meant it then drained the battery. Software has been upgraded, battery recharged - all is well once again.

Many thanks for all the advice
